Mark Hopkins Intercontinental, San Francisco

A truly amazing hotel. One in a million. When I said to someone that I met in San Francisco that I was staying on Nob Hill their reaction was "Wow, are you staying at the Mark Hopkins?!? Wow!"

The room (#1020) was nice, not the biggest, but beautifully appointed. The decor and service of the hotel are impeccable. And one of the biggest bonuses is the excellent Club Intercontinental, now situated on the ground floor, which serves breakfast, snacks throughout the day and drinks and canapés in the evening. It also offers 24 hour internet access which you can have also in your room. A bargain for the $30 it costs Ambassadors, but at $60 normally it is only good value if there are two sharing a room (you pay per room).
