My second short weekend European city break, taking advantage of BA's Club Europe sale. Berlin is a great city with an amazing history as a pivotal point in the Cold War. I had visited once before in 1998, when the city was still being extensively rebuilt after reunification, so it was good to make another trip to see how things had progressed. As you can see below, the city is now almost unrecognisable from re-unification 15 years ago.
Siegessäule (Victory Column), including views and Herbie Rally!
Soviet War Memorial, Bundestag and Brandenburg Gate
Alexanderplatz, Fernsehturm (TV Tower) and Town Hall
Berliner Dom (Cathedral)
Holocaust Memorial and Jewish Museum
Sony Centre (Potsdamer Platz)
Berlin Wall remains (East Side Gallery)
