Hilton Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia

The Hilton KL is conveniently situated at the Central Station where the Express train from the airport arrives. Overall this was a wonderful hotel and highly recommended for anyone visiting KL.

I had booked an 86 sqm Innovation Suite for a very reasonable rate and was upgraded to a similar room on an Executive Lounge floor. The room was simply fantastic. A full suite, with a lounge area with sofas and dinig table (with a visitor's bathroom off the main entrance), then through a corridor which opened up into a mini-office with walk-in wardrobes and then further through to the main bedroom and bathroom, which were actually one room with giant sliding doors separating them. The bathroom was wonderful with a proper rainfall shower! There are huge Plasma TV's in both the living area and the bedroom. This was clearly one of the best hotel rooms I've ever stayed in.

Executive Lounge

The Executive Lounge was very nice, although quite busy at all times that I visited, which prevented me taking photos. The food layout for both evening canapés and breakfast was very good, although the drinks were lacking slightly with no champagne.

The pool area is shared with the Le Meridien next door and is huge, containing much sculpted rock work and a water slide. However it is very shallow - not more than about 1.2m at any point. However, it was a nice place to spend a couple of hours lounging around.
