Day 15 : Saturday 24th March 2007

Previous - Next

Back to Bangkok via Singapore

Today was always going to be one of those days where travelling took most of the available time. I had two flights today - back to Bangkok via Singapore. I awoke at 9am and pottered around, taking breakfast in the Executive lounge at about 10:30am.

Check-out was completed quickly, I was even able to buy a ticket for the airport express train there. Soon I was down in the station waiting for the train, which was on time and took about half an hour to arrive at the terminal.

SQ109 Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KUL) - Singapore Changi International (SIN)

SQ68 Singapore Changi International (SIN) - Bangkok Suvarnabhumi International (BKK)

On arrival at Bangkok I wimped out and rather than haggle for a taxi I booked a rip-off THB 1,000 ride on the Airport limousine taxis. Very comfortable and quick, but very overpriced. Anyway, I was back at the IC Bangkok in no time and was in fact checked in in my room, which was a first for me.

I took a quick dip in the pool, before meeting up with one of my friends who had contacted me to tell me that not only was he and his girlfriend in the hotel this night, but that they would be taking the same GF flights as me back to London the next day ! Great to see you again Scott. We stayed up until quite late, chatting and playing poker!
